Welcome to Moiola Library

Moiola's library has a growing collection of over 15,000 book titles. There are three computer stations for research, internet access, and catalog search. We also have two MACs in the library for AR testing.  Classes come to the library on a scheduled bi-weekly visit for storytime and book checkout. The library's main objective is to instill in children a love of reading and a life-long quest for learning.

the latest library news!

*The library has The Mini Page, National Geographic Kids, Kids DiscoverSports Illustrated Kids, Nick Magazine, and National Geographic. These are all available for students to read during recess.

*Wednesday, March 2nd - Read Across America will be celebrated at Moiola! Read Across America is in conjunction with Dr. Seuss' birthday.  We will have grandparent volunteers come and read Dr. Seuss books to the K-5 classes. Children can wear their pajamas on this special day.

*To be determined - Dads and Donuts!  What a fun way to spend the morning, reading with dads, grandparents, uncles, etc.  This is a literacy event to show the importance of families reading together.  Last years event was a hugh success with over 300 in attendance.  We are hoping our event this year will be just as successful.  So, come out early and enjoy the morning reading with your students!

*B.A.R.K. - Beach Animals Reading with Kids- Moiola was fortunate to have a therapy dog, named Jack, who visited our library weekly.  While here, several of our students read to Jack.  This is a special literacy group that helps students who might be intimidated reading in front of classmates or other people.  The dogs provide a non-judgemental audience for the students to read to.  This is special program and worked wonders with all involved.
